Treasury just treated crypto like a bank.

and one quick ask.

Eight years in your inbox. One quick ask.

Since 2018, we have shown up every single day.

Bitcoin at $3,000. Bitcoin at $125,000. Three bear markets. Two bull runs. A stablecoin that collapsed overnight and wiped $40 billion from the market. A war that shut down the world's most important oil corridor and sent crypto prices swinging with every Truth Social post.

We were there for all of it. And so were you.

Today was no different. Here is what we were tracking:

The US Treasury just treated crypto like a bank.

For the first time, the government is sharing classified cybersecurity threat intelligence with crypto firms, the same intelligence it has quietly shared with JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs for years. After $3.4 billion in industry losses in 2025 and a $280 million North Korean hack that took six months of social engineering to execute, Washington has decided crypto infrastructure is a national security matter. That is not a small thing.

Circle dropped nearly 10%.

Compass Point initiated coverage with a Sell and a $77 price target. The problem is not USDC losing ground. Nearly 80% of USDC's recent supply growth is coming from platforms like Binance, Sky, and Ethena, all of which carry revenue-sharing agreements that eat into Circle's margins. More supply, thinner profits. The stock trades at 40 times what analysts call optimistic 2027 earnings estimates. The structural squeeze is real.

Europe just opened its banking rails to stablecoins.

ClearBank became the first Dutch bank to complete a MiCAR notification, receiving clearance from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets to offer USDC and EURC across Europe. This is not a crypto firm getting a licence. It is a regulated clearing bank formally embedding stablecoin settlement into its core infrastructure. Every institution that follows this path brings stablecoins further inside the regulatory perimeter rather than outside it.

That is what we do every day. Eight years of it.

Now we want to make it better. We are rebuilding the next version of this newsletter around the people who actually open it. What do you want more of? What is missing? What would make this unmissable?

Two minutes. One reader wins $250 in USDC.

Every response gets read. This is how the next eight years get built.
